Steffin Hill Extension

During my childhood, the longest our family ever lived in one place was from 1957 to 1967 when we lived on Steffin Hill Extension. The house had a large lot and a lovely view of the western Pennsylvania hills. It was while living there that I began writing letters. In this blog I continue the tradition, with irregular updates on my life and times.

Yet another weather report. Calgary is experiencing a warmer-than-usual end of August. It has been (a) sublime (b) delectable (c) delightful and (d) delicious, day after day...after day. Forecast for the next five days? 28, 26, 26, 28, 26 (82, 79, 79, 82, 79). And remember, this is without humidity or pollution, and at night the temperature drops to the lower 50's and we open our windows and sleep the sleep of the just.

I mention this in part to demonstrate that living here CAN have its benefits--last winter (the worst in 50 years, as I never tire of mentioning) notwithstanding.
