Steffin Hill Extension

During my childhood, the longest our family ever lived in one place was from 1957 to 1967 when we lived on Steffin Hill Extension. The house had a large lot and a lovely view of the western Pennsylvania hills. It was while living there that I began writing letters. In this blog I continue the tradition, with irregular updates on my life and times.

Now we're talkin'. The sun is out and the forecast is hopeful. By the end of next week we're to hit 26 Celsius (what is that, upper 70's Fareneit?). Very nice. We've had a cold, wet week--unusual for Calgary when usually this time of year lawns are brown. Ours today is a lovely green.

Just finished 45 minutes on the elliptical and feel mellow. I do a lot of plodding: 2.2 kms (1.4 miles) to work, 2.2 kms back, four times a week. Plus three 45-minute sessions on the elliptical. My commute is an amble, not a race, and I use the time to think, pray, and look at scenery. On the elliptical I start slow, letting my poor body adjust. By the end I've worked up a sweat and feel better, having (no doubt) burned off adrenalin and changed brain chemistry.

So now I will calmly bring this to a close and get busy with my next assignment: helping make supper!

TTFN.
