Steffin Hill Extension

During my childhood, the longest our family ever lived in one place was from 1957 to 1967 when we lived on Steffin Hill Extension. The house had a large lot and a lovely view of the western Pennsylvania hills. It was while living there that I began writing letters. In this blog I continue the tradition, with irregular updates on my life and times.

You know you're a Calgary native when you step outside to shovel snow, the sun is shining, the temp's 10F (-11C) and you think, "This is warm!"

At any rate, that's what I just did and it did feel warm.

In addition, it's gorgeous out there--the clear blue sky, the fluffy white snow, etc.

Even more beautiful, in a way, is that I now feel well enough to go outside at all. I've been sick with what I'm pretty sure was food poisoning and missed a couple days' work. After sleeping a good bit of yesterday and this morning, I finally felt better. Phew! (I was reduced to sips of apple juice, then ginger ale, so at least I lost some weight. But I do not recommend the method...)
