Steffin Hill Extension

During my childhood, the longest our family ever lived in one place was from 1957 to 1967 when we lived on Steffin Hill Extension. The house had a large lot and a lovely view of the western Pennsylvania hills. It was while living there that I began writing letters. In this blog I continue the tradition, with irregular updates on my life and times.

I nominate Calgary as the most Christmasy-looking city in North America. When snow comes, snow stays, for one thing. For another, due to the climate, a high percentage of the trees in any neighborhood are pines--often great big tall ones. With the recent snowfall, those got laden with snow, and now we really do look like something out of an old Andy Williams Christmas special around here.
