Steffin Hill Extension

During my childhood, the longest our family ever lived in one place was from 1957 to 1967 when we lived on Steffin Hill Extension. The house had a large lot and a lovely view of the western Pennsylvania hills. It was while living there that I began writing letters. In this blog I continue the tradition, with irregular updates on my life and times.

To clarify, we have a rotary push mower, one of the classic non-motorized kind. Our reasoning was: (1) We probably won't need it for long, if we move again this summer as planned (2) It would less likely be stolen from our garage (3) We wouldn't have to mess around with hauling gasoline or extension cords (4) It's a lot cheaper.

This morning I stopped in at the 24-hour Wal-Mart to buy 3-in-1 oil to get our little beauty spinning like a top, and we shall see. I sure hope it makes it easier!

And by the way, the high temperature tomorrow is supposed to be 80F (27C). And a month from now it could snow again (though not accumulate)!
