Steffin Hill Extension

During my childhood, the longest our family ever lived in one place was from 1957 to 1967 when we lived on Steffin Hill Extension. The house had a large lot and a lovely view of the western Pennsylvania hills. It was while living there that I began writing letters. In this blog I continue the tradition, with irregular updates on my life and times.

The word that best describes the sunlight here on many days is "dazzling." It's different from and brighter than sunny days we used to have on the eastern side of the continent.

Yesterday was such a day and also our moving sale. We sold our couch and queen-sized mattress to a Native Canadian (First Nations, aboriginal, Indian) family. Aboriginals here are more numerous and look more the way we would think Indians should look. (From movies, documentaries, the news?) Anyhow, the grandma and daughter chatted briefly in their native tongue, which was cool. A very nice family.
