Steffin Hill Extension

During my childhood, the longest our family ever lived in one place was from 1957 to 1967 when we lived on Steffin Hill Extension. The house had a large lot and a lovely view of the western Pennsylvania hills. It was while living there that I began writing letters. In this blog I continue the tradition, with irregular updates on my life and times.

The Freezing Fog returned yesterday and today, and with it crystalline layers on trees and other objects. This morning thin branches looked caterpillar-like with white fluff and pine trees looked, again, like Christmas decorations. Walking home in early afternoon, the sun shone full bore and the fluff was falling. It coated sidewalks but looked different from snow. More like thin wool blankets. I kept stepping in it, then knocking my boots on dry pavement.

Another Alberta moment...
