Steffin Hill Extension

During my childhood, the longest our family ever lived in one place was from 1957 to 1967 when we lived on Steffin Hill Extension. The house had a large lot and a lovely view of the western Pennsylvania hills. It was while living there that I began writing letters. In this blog I continue the tradition, with irregular updates on my life and times.

To summarize, my writing's moving in a new direction. I queried a Christian magazine about an article and was given the green light to write a 400-word profile. Later the editor indicated he would like to use me for more articles in the future. So it seems I'm slowly turning the writing steamship in the direction of strengths and interests instead of just writing for money and creds for future writing gigs.

So the more there's an actual possibility of my writing for money also becoming writing for fun, the less I'm inclined to write here, for free (for two or three people, myself included...).

On the other hand I read something in an article on blogging recently and an author said her blogging is essential to building her audience base, etc. So maybe one day I'll want to move more in the direction of blogging more intentionally and carefully. In which case, I'll be starting a new blog with no link to the uneven entries to be found here.

Anyhow, in a few minutes we head off to meet some potentially new friends, and that's about it for now.
