Steffin Hill Extension

During my childhood, the longest our family ever lived in one place was from 1957 to 1967 when we lived on Steffin Hill Extension. The house had a large lot and a lovely view of the western Pennsylvania hills. It was while living there that I began writing letters. In this blog I continue the tradition, with irregular updates on my life and times.

Well, The First Flower of the Season has appeared in our backyard. It's a dandelion, nestled in a warm spot next to the house amongst some actual, genuine, green grass. This is the sort of thing those of us living north of the 48th parallel (not counting B.C.) celebrate.

I just was outside with Gus the Cat, who was diggin' that grass big time and the day is magnificent. (Current temp, at 12:06 p.m., is 50F!!).

This evening we're going to try the 6:30 p.m. Saturday "more intimate" church service, then tomorrow...the plan is to maybe drive southwest to Bragg's Creek Provincial Park, on the doorstep to the Rockies. (It's closer than driving straight west to the better-known Canmore and Banff areas. The nearby town of Bragg's Creek itself also looks interesting.) We may even take a hike!

But for now, my "To Do" list...
