Well, I'm feeling all calmed down now, having done my thrice-weekly workout in front of the TV, mimicking the motions of some individuals on the screen (with the sound turned off so that I don't have to listen to the annoying patter of the leader). Yeah, I knew it would help: I felt all hepped up on adrenaline and kind of depressed and figured the workout would do the trick.
Today I went to a place in Cabbagetown (that's a part of Toronto that got its name from Irish immigrants years ago growing cabbages in their front yards) to get a couple photos for renewing my Canadian passport. The guy was a master at making a good photo but the result was mildly shocking. (I look my age in it!)
Afterwards I hit a small No Frills supermarket across the street from the photographer's, then came home and at our tiny bank branch got my certified check ready to go for the passport renewal.
Later, we went to Rabba Fine Foods for milk and tried out the DVD rental kiosk (just $1.99!), something, it turned out, we found infuriating. Credit card didn't work, then it did, then it didn't. Took far longer than necessary. In any case, our selection was Good Night and Good Luck, that one about the legendary, chain-smoking CBS news anchor of the 50's, Edward R. Murrow. Supposed to be good...
So I'll fire up the ol' stovetop a little later and we'll have whole grain spaghetti with sauce from a can (along with hydrolyzed soy protein that comes out sort of like ground beef) plus leftover salad and cooked broccoli/cauliflower. (Enough information?)
Yes, and with the food all prepared, we'll settle back on the couch, as is our wont and custom, and having put in the DVD, we'll be sure we see the whole thing, including the trailers advertising coming attractions, for that is part of The Experience.
Afterwards we will critique the movie, saying which actors were good, or not, and whether we liked the message of the film, or not, and what other movies some obscure actor or other was in, and so forth.
Well, I believe I have rambled quite enough here for today, so I will post this, casting my cyber-bread upon the waters, as it were...
