Steffin Hill Extension

During my childhood, the longest our family ever lived in one place was from 1957 to 1967 when we lived on Steffin Hill Extension. The house had a large lot and a lovely view of the western Pennsylvania hills. It was while living there that I began writing letters. In this blog I continue the tradition, with irregular updates on my life and times.

Well, I guess my body's been adjusting so that better look the role of "grandpa" these days. Some morning, and other times of the day, I've been walking with a limp. It's due to a pain in my hip and as a result I can sometimes be forced to walk with a short, then long, stride, reminding me of an old TV show (and by citing old stuff from the past I'm further playing the grandpa role) called The Real McCoys. In in, Grandpappy Amos used to come hitching into the farmhouse in his coveralls.

So a little while ago, remembering the thousands of arthritis pain reliever ads I've seen in my lifetime, I took some acetophetemen (sp?) and hoped for the best.
