Steffin Hill Extension

During my childhood, the longest our family ever lived in one place was from 1957 to 1967 when we lived on Steffin Hill Extension. The house had a large lot and a lovely view of the western Pennsylvania hills. It was while living there that I began writing letters. In this blog I continue the tradition, with irregular updates on my life and times.

I'm sitting here in front of the computer feeling all mellow, sweat trickling down my body, with the fan trained on me. I just did my usual thrice-weekly workout with Leslie Sansone and a group of ladies in leotards doing "Walkaerobics."

Don't laugh. It works for me. It's easy on the knees and I can do it right here in our little apartment in front of the TV. And combined with losing about 20 pounds (as the doctor ordered) the workouts have helped bring the ol' cholesterol numbers back under control.

Well the microwave's beeping, telling me that the reheated broccoli and cauliflower's ready, along with the last of the leftover turkey (from Canadian Thanksgiving!) heating on the stovetop.

So that'll be it for now...
